Alt Country Fried Steak

With Alt Country Fried Steak, Louise Louise shifts gears into alternative country, exploring themes of heartache, regret, and self-reflection.

Though the lyrics dive into love lost and personal missteps, there are moments of hope and growth. Highlights include a haunting rendition of The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights, the optimistic Shine Your Light, and Losing Our Way, a cautionary track about breaking free from old patterns. Rounding out the album is How You Grow, a Wilco-esque message song about the benefits that come from taking a chance.

The album features familiar instrumentation—guitar, bass, drums, and piano—while adding synth layers. The cover photo is by Maximus Madsen, keeping this introspective fourth album a true family affair.

You Did It Again

Album three from Louise Louise finds the boys from WVC exploring themes of .... acceptance. Well, not entirely. There are a couple of songs on You Did It Again that are a little bit grouchy but overall there's a thread of coming to terms with the curveballs life throws you. As it will, you know?

Prominent tracks include the title song, Sun Will Come up Tomorrow and Don't Freeze Me Out. But don't overlook the disco-twinged opener Dance, the Weezer-esque Chokehold and the wintry ballad Middle of March.

Real Estate Investor Seeks Trainee—Deluxe Edition

With their sophomore release Real Estate Investor Seeks Trainee pop/rock duo Louise Louise serve up an evolved version of the melodic, guitar-driven songs prevalent on their debut album How This Goes

Catchy harmonies and singable guitar hooks abound, with most of the songs lyrically touching on the vacant, vacuous and vapid among us. A few love songs are scattered throughout. You know, for the kids.

Standout tracks include bouncy opener Tuesday, the plaintively soulful Cold Hard Facts, the melancholic We'll Never Know and the infectious singalong Take It Back.

This exclusive Deluxe Edition of Real Estate Investor Seeks Trainee includes bonus tracks—rough demos showcasing early versions of songs from the album. This Deluxe Edition of the album is only available via Louise Louise's website.
